The number of pro-Israel activists in Britain will be increased to 20,000 next year, said BICOM bosses at the UK-Israel think-tank’s annual dinner at Lancaster Hotel last Thursday.
Generous guests at the event helped raise more than half of the organisation’s 2016 budget, as BICOM chief executive James Sorene promised to send more journalists to Israel, arrange more briefings, produce more research papers, hold more seminars and conferences and “increase the number of We Believe in Israel activists to 20,000 and reach millions more people through news and social media”.
The event heard from former Israeli envoy Ron Prosor and Sky’s former newsman Tim Marshall, who discussed geopolitical climate in the Middle East today.
